LUXOR EGYPT ,
AS ALWAYS ON A WALK TO THE WETLANDS I SAW HUNDREDS OF BIRDS, HERE ARE A FEW OF THEM,
Hoopoe (upupa epops), just kept flying from one point to another with the grub in its beak.maybe its got chicks to feed.
and from the roof restaurant we have the best views in the city of Luxor Temple and the mountain range of Thebes,
the roof restaurant is part of snack time, and there is a lift to the 4th floor great place and good food.
Locally known as the Hod Hod Bird

i sat for 2 hours on the waters edge of the Nile photographing the Pied Kingfishers when this Striated heron flew in and landed about 20ft away, it did not show any fear of me while it came to do what it came for as soon as it caught its fish it flew off to a safe distance. then came back and landed on a branch with two young kingfishers.
